About Ms. Zobel

First and foremost, I am incredibly proud to be a part of your child’s story.  Teaching has truly been one of my life’s greatest joys, and I am deeply committed to helping your child succeed! Having grown up and attended school in Santee, I am deeply honored to be teaching at Chet F. Harritt school this year! I completed my undergraduate education in Theatre Arts at San Diego State University and discovered my passion for teaching during a study abroad trip to China in 2014. During my time in China, I experienced what it feels like to see a child's self-esteem skyrocket through education for the first time. After that experience, I began seeking opportunities to teach in as many different capacities as possible. While working towards my teaching credential at San Diego State University, I worked for the SDSU Literacy Center and for the SeaWorld San Diego Education Department.

Over the years I have taught grades K-2 and navigated a distance learning climate with some incredible students and families. Together, we learned that if we lean on each other and believe in ourselves, there is nothing that we can’t do! These experiences have allowed me to work with students with a variety of needs and backgrounds, and my priority as a teacher is to be of service to your amazing students. I have chosen to incorporate my theater arts background into to culture of my classroom, because I believe every student should be given an opportunity to shine and stand in the spotlight! Your child is a star, and all the world is their stage!
